4th of July

Last year we were in NWA for the 4th, so this year we went to Mtn Home to my dad's. After being out of town so much the past two weeks, I decided to take a few days off so that Lila and I could have plenty of one on one time to hang out. Aaron had to spend the week in Little Rock, but he was able to at least come visit for a day and a half before he had to get back to NWA for work.

We had a lot of fun hanging out around the house. Lila rode her 4-wheeler, played in the pool and watched Grandpa make her great-grandpa's homemade chocolate ice cream! We also spent time on Lake Norfork.

It's funny how much can change in a year. Last year Lila was scared of the boat and hated wearing her life jacket. This year she was a pro and even wanted to drive Grandpa's boat! We watched fireworks on the lake and Lila stayed awake the entire time, including the drive home. I put her to bed at 12:15 a.m. That is definitely the first time she has ever stayed awake that long!
