32 Week Check Up

Emerson, last week was our 32 week check up.  Your heartbeat was a very strong 140 bpm.  Dr. Duke just stood there and listened for a minute and said, "Doesn't that just sound wonderful?  That is a strong and healthy heartbeat."

Dr. D also asked me if I've noticed you having hiccups yet.  (You've actually been having them for the past two weeks.)  Apparently that is a sign of brain development!  He also said to start expecting braxton hicks contractions, which I've been having for almost two months now.  So far, all signs point to you and mommy being very healthy and ready for delivery in a few short weeks!

Big sister Lila cannot wait to meet you!
