Ready for her big day!

Then for snack time I brought some birthday treats to school so that Lila could celebrate with her buddies. It was so cute to watch them get excited to sing to her. They were all so eager to inform me that it was Lila's birthday!

(The little boy to the left is Cameron. He and Lila have the funniest friendship. He loves to run up to me and wrap his arms around my legs and announce that I am HIS mommy just to get a rise out of Lila! He kept putting his hand on my knee to do it at snack time. Lila was keeping her eyes on him! It was so funny.)

After the party, I checked Lila out early so she could go by my office and see where Mommy works all day. My work family loves it when we bring our kids to work. It is fun to show off how much Lila has grown.

Finally, we finished off the day with a special birthday dinner at Marketplace Grill. Lila loves their sweet potato fries! And if you know what their "Chocolate Mess" dessert is, then you know what Lila had for her birthday dessert. I wish I had a picture of her eating it, but we had torrential downpour so I decided to leave all but the bare necessities in the car.

Oooh, yummmmm.....sweet potato fries! Nana loves them too! Lila, you keep your eye on Cameron and keep him in line. I've seen that same look on your mommy. ;-)
Thanks for dropping by to see us at work Lila! It's always a special treat to get to see you smiling face!
