Saturday, 2/7 - The nursery is finally finished being painted (thanks to Aaron and my dad a.k.a. "Grandpa"). The walls are a soft shade of pink ("Oh So Pink") and the trim is barely off-white ("Swiss Coffee"). Aaron and I never imagined that we would have a pink room in our house, but I think it is really going to pull the whole room together. Besides, when Lila gets old enough to choose her own room decor she may never want a pink room again, so at least she'll get to have it just this once!
After our paint crew went home, Aaron and I were eager to put together the crib. It was much easier than I expected, but I must confess Aaron did most of the work. I mostly read the directions and helped hold things in place. Daisy must have known we were working on something for the baby because she kept trying to climb in the middle of the crib frame or in my lap. The whole time she was never more than a foot away from me.
Saturday, 2/14 - Nene came over to take final measurements for the crib bedding and to see the furniture for the first time. She has such good ideas for how to put everything together. I really appreciate how she has figured out my taste for the room and continuously comes up with suggestions that are exactly what the room needs to come together. I can't wait to see the bedding when she is finished.
