We had our monthly dr's appointment yesterday, which included our second ultrasound. The purpose of the ultrasound was mainly to see the stomach. The tech couldn't see it at 20 weeks, but it was visible this time. So all vital organs are present and accounted for!
We had really been looking forward to getting some updated pictures of Miss Lila too. The ultrasound tech was so sweet and tried for 10 minutes to get some good pictures, but our little girl was on the move! (Might have been the SweetTarts I ate before my appt!) Every time the tech would switch over to 4-D for a good picture Lila would bury her face or turn away! So we only ended up with one decent picture. (I'll post as soon as I get it scanned.)
The most important update of the visit is that the dr. was somewhat concerned with my ability to deliver Lila. This is solely based on the fact that her head is measuring above average. No worries, there are no health implications for Lila. She is doing great! The dr's concern is for me. So we're going to have a third ultrasound next month to see if Lila's growth rate continues to track high before making any other decisions surrounding changing my due date, or other delivery options, etc.
Everyone keep your fingers crossed that Lila is not an over-achiever in the growth department!

Oh boy....a wiggle-butt! I can't wait to see her wiggle in person. Dare I say it? A new generation of Katrinka? :-D
