Around the first of August Aaron interviewed for a school resource officer in Bentonville, and he got the job! This has been a huge blessing for our family. Aaron gets to have a "normal" schedule of Monday-Friday with only the occasional special events v. the rotating shift every 3 months. It has also been a huge opportunity for Aaron to work with kids who are impressionable and/or troubled, and hopefully make a positive impact in their lives. I'm also pretty sure all 3 of us have gained a few pounds these last 2 months now that we cook a big country breakfast every weekend!
During Aaron's last weekend to work patrol my mom and I took Lila to the Gentry Wild Wilderness Safari. Lila can be timid about many things, but animals are not one of them. Our little girl loves on any animal she can get her hands on!
