Uncle Sean was a little sad that Lila did not pay him any attention Saturday night, so he invited us over for a play date on Sunday with Lawson, Britain, Nene & Poppy. It was Lila's first time to get in the lake. It was funny (and sad) at first because I could tell she did not like it and she wanted to cry, but she put on a brave face and held back the tears. She eventually loosened up a bit and started to splash around and even smile a little. She mostly enjoyed watching her cousins Lawson & Britain practice their swimming because they made BIG splashes!
Lila really took to Lawson & Brit. She acted as if she thought Brit was just like one of her big stuffed animals at home. She laid on her, gave her hugs, and even climbed up to bounce on her tummy (just like she does to her stuffed ladybug and gorilla)! It was very sweet to see them play together. Usually when all the kiddos are together, the big kids are so busy playing that they don't have much time for the littlest one in the bunch.

Lila -you were very brave in the water. Your little chin quivered and you wanted to cry - but then you just pushed past and put on your happy face. It was the cutest thing. I love your little face and love you even more.
