Annual Family Weekend in Branson

For about 3 of the past 4 years Nene & Poppy have taken the entire family to Branson. We didn't go last year because someone was about 9 months pregnant... me! But, we typically go at the end of April/first of May so that we can also celebrate Ryan, Aaron & Nene's birthdays.

This year we got a bit rained out, but the kids made sure to take full advantage any moment the sun came out. Brit & Nene went on a nature walk and Brit took pictures of everything they saw. They also got to ride the paddle boats. The boys went fishing down at the dock. Turns out there was a kids' fishing tournament and Lawson won for the biggest fish! They all even managed to get a swim in the pool although I'm not sure how warm the water was.

I didn't take hardly any pictures of the weekend, but I have to tell about the "party" the big kids threw upstairs. It was so cute. They kept coming downstairs asking for more chips or more water. Brit even came down to get her $2. Then they invited anyone who would come up to their party. They were so proud of all the food, drinks and money they had laid out.

Oh, Aaron shared a cute Lila story with me too. I guess while I was in the shower some of the kids decided to start wrestling with their Uncle Aaron. Lila saw the kids piling on Aaron and instantly started crying! I wish I could have seen my sweet baby girl trying to protect her daddy!

Some of the family rounded out their weekend with a day trip up to Springfield. As much as Aaron & I love the big Spring-Patch (as one of my professors used to call it), we were exhausted and decided to head home. Poor Aaron had to get his days & nights flipped back around so he could go to work that night.

I know it's a lot of work to coordinate, but thank you for the weekend in Branson Nene & Poppy!
