It's time for an update. I've been a bit behind in my blogging. Aaron and I have had our maternity pictures done (Friday, 3/20). It was actually a lot of fun! We had a hard time narrowing it down, but we're very pleased with the pictures we chose for Lila's room. (If I ever get around to it I may scan a few to post on-line.)
This week has not been the best for Aaron. He hurt his back lifting weights Tuesday afternoon and could not stand up straight. The doctor said it was a severe muscle strain and gave him some meds to help his muscles relax and reduce the swelling. He has had to stay off his feet for several days and cannot lift more than 10 lbs for 2 weeks. You can imagine we're quite the pair now!
Friday was our 3rd ultrasound. Lila's heartbeat was 143 bpm and her estimated weight was 5 lbs. The intent this time was to track Lila's growth progress and determine if there was a need to move up our due date. While Lila's head is tracking a few weeks ahead, all her other measurements are exactly where they should be. So even though the ultrasound estimated delivery 2 weeks early, the Dr. decided to keep my due date the same for now. She did say however that she would probably recommend inducing me a week early just to try to reduce the odds of such a difficult delivery.
On a brighter note, we were able to get some new 4-D pics of Lila. We were able to watch her yawn, smile and open/close her eyes. I am so thankful that I've been able to see her little face so many times!
