Big Girl Bed

This morning Aaron and I woke up to Lila yelling "Mo-om! Da-ad!  Come get me out of bed!"

I know it might sound strange, but up until now Lila has still slept in her crib.  My philosophy was if she was not trying to climb out or getting too big to fit in her crib, then she could just keep on sleeping in it.  I've heard so many stories from other parents that have a hard time keeping their children in bed that I have just not been eager to start that phase in parenting.  But if the child is old enough to tell you to get her out of bed, it might be time to convert her bed so that she can get up herself!  So that's just what Aaron and I did after breakfast.  Ever since then Lila has wanted to be in her "big girl bed"... to snuggle with her babies, talk on her play phone...  She even asked if she could take a nap after lunch!

Now fingers crossed that she stays in bed all night tonight!
