Let me just say, I am one proud momma. In a theater full of very young children, I fully expected some meltdowns. There definitely were some, but not from my child! The play started 20 minutes late and Lila sat so still that I was almost in disbelief. She only had to get up one time for a bathroom break about halfway through the play. Afterwards, we went out for dinner and then home for a few rounds of hide-and-seek before Nana went home. I foresee this being an annual tradition (except maybe minus the hide-and-seek when Lila gets older)!

Girls' Day Out
Laura Numeroff is the author of the "If You Give A..." series of books. Her first book in the series is "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie". This weekend the Arts Center of the Ozarks put on a children's theatre production based on this book. Lila has a few books in the series, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to take her to her very first play. Since my mom and I have the same love for the arts, I invited her to join us for a girls' day out.

Nana thoroughly enjoyed our Girls Day Out. You were such a good girl and so patient! Nana looks forward to more plays with you in the future.
